Treatment
No treatment is needed for simple teeth eruption. For significant pain or inflammation, acetaminophen (Tylenol) and or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications/NSAIDs (ibuprofen/Motrin or Advil, naproxen/Naprosyn) may be administered. Pericoronitis is treated with good dental hygiene. For an infection, antibiotics may be prescribed, and at times the affected wisdom tooth may be removed.
