Presbyopia is the difficulty focusing on objects that are close due to a hardening of the lens in the eye. The lens naturally begins to harden as we age. This hardening begins earlier in life and usually progresses slowly. Symptoms most often begin around age forty.

Symptoms include difficulty seeing objects that are close, headaches and eye fatigue.
